My whole family always loved to travel around the world- 2018 I travelled again in the US for a year. This year I luckily met someone, love of my life- husband since 9/2020.
Besides my crazy love story and travelling, I always have been following a healthy lifestyle by not being too harsh on myself.
What does “healthy lifestyle” mean to you?
I am not that kind of person telling you that there is only this one true, healthy lifestyle you have to follow. I solely hope to give you some inspiration when it comes to eating selectively – but enjoying tasty food.
BECAUSE WE LOVE TO EAT, right?!
Food is our fuel- we all know it should be as nutritious as possible for our body (and soul) At the same time our food choices should be delicious and satisfying.
When it comes to the wish to eat healthy i am choosing the natural approach. I mostly try to select affordable organic food-especially when it comes to fresh fruit and vegetables. In general I do not spend any time checking calories or fat percentage of whatever you want to get- the only important thing to me are natural ingredients, no artificial flavors or other random ingredients that do not come from our nature. We don’t want processed food!
Btw, I am not judging any particular group of food, meaning I am not telling people they HAVE TO CUT this or that off their diet plan. Everyone has to find out over time what is good for his/her. My family members for example are eating most kind of meats, i am personally only eating fish. Although it is possible for me to cook in a way that satisfies everyone and contains all macro- and micronutrients.

Where do you grocery shop?
I currently live nearby Columbia, SC. I do not have a lot of options, so the closest store for me is Walmart. And yes, even in Walmart you can make wholesome choices and find particular healthy food items for certain dishes. Since we are spending our time on weekends somewhere else, we always bring home a bunch of groceries from stores like Harris Teeter, LIDL (German) or Trader Joe’s.
What’s your favorite food?
My all-time favorite is a Whole-Grain Toast/Bread with cream cheese and AVOCADO, an egg and some smoked salmon on top, spiced with salt and pepper! Now who’s with me?
Do I have to be vegetarian to enjoy the recipes?
No. My husband loves his meat and i always cook my dishes with a side of meat for him.
